Wild Turkey

The animal, not the drink. On the way to the grocery store we saw 10-12 of them. Just walking along the road. They really are as ugly as you think.

We have had a bunny and a bunch of chipmunks right outside our back door. The maintenance guy said to watch for deer... they like to hang out next to our patio. We are the end apartment of the cul-de-sac and there is a line of trees next to us.

Tomorrow is Marty's birthday so we went present shopping. After that we went to pick up Christian's bike. $53 later he is out riding with his brothers. Not a bad deal, really. We also went to the Salvation Army and Goodwill looking for a book shelf. I ended up finding a wide 3-shelf metal thing at Goodwill. They used to use it in the store but didn't need it any longer so they sold it for a whopping $6.99. I would post a picture of it but Christian took a bunch of pictures and the batteries are dead. Of course, I can't find the charger.

We are human again! We have library cards!! I'll be honest... so far this library sucks compared to the Mount Clemens library. I really think it is the librarians. Not that the librarians in Midland are bad... they will just never be as good as the ones at Mount Clemens, you know? I have never met people with more knowledge of books, or a better appreciation of the classics. Sigh...

The plan is to start back to school on Monday so that means a library run this weekend. I'll let you know how it goes.

Glad you are settling in. I'll let the awesome librarians know what you said, if that's okay!
